Laying of the Cornerstone

April 2000

At the conclusion of the morning worship service on Sunday, April 30th, we laid the cornerstone for our new building. Inside the cornerstone we placed a time capsule for the future generations of "Winstanleyites". The time capsule contained a copy of the April 2000 issue of "The Window", a copy of the Sunday's bulletin, signitures of everyone who attended the morning worship service, a copy of Scott Brewer's "The Easter Story... Road to Calvary", a church directory, some of our current Sunday School literature, and a copy of the Sunday newspaper.

Two of our children carried the time capsule and four of our youth placed the cornerstone into place while the Winstanley congregation looked on.

The service concluded with a hymn of thanksgiving and a prayer.
